Last Friday (June 28) we had a maintenance in the app. It wad actually an update of the server. Since there have been problems of server overload before, we are updating the server more frequently, as well as applying new technology such as CDN to the server, in order to prevent the server problem again and make the app work faster to users.

However, the CDN service is a new challenge to our engineer team, and with the application of this new technique plus the update in the server, problems appear.

For these past 2 days, you should have experienced that the app runs normally for a few minutes, and then it stops working for 1 minute. Some of your messages, calls, moments posts, were not sent to the server and hence didn’t f¥go to the intended recipients.

We understand that this is a serious problem, not only to all the users, but to us as well. That’s why for the past few days, despite the fact the it is weekend, we are working on finding out the problem and trying to fix it as soon as possible. Our engineer partners in Vietnam and management team, especially the manager, have been working relentlessly to solve the problem.

We promise you that we will come up a full solution soon.

And we need your help and support as well.

We want you to do three things for us:

1. Keep using the app and calm the viewers. Try to upload more photos in moments.

2. Call the viewers. Although messaging is affected by the problem, we have another server for video calls and right now that server is not affected. Therefore, instead of messaging the viewers to invite them to call, you can call them directly.

3. Read our customer service manual. Sharpen your communication skills in video call.

4. Trust us. We won’t let the app go down easily. Please be patient and the app will go well again.
