Every morning when I open my WhatsApp, I see many unread messages on my screen, probably because I have joined too many groups.
It is just like any viewer who opens his account and see so many beautiful women sending message to him.
They are overwhelmed.
When I open my chat list, I will see the last message of each groups, just like what we see in the chat list page in this app.
So, which message do I usually read first?
The one with a “?” mark always catches my attention.
People tend to open and read the chat when they see a question.
But what kind of question?
“How are you?”?
No. Although “How are you?” is a question, it is not meaningful enough. Usually people just answer “fine” or “good”. People may do that in WhatsApp or messenger, because it is free there. But in this app, they are paying money. They won’t pay money just to answer “I’m fine. Thank you. How about you?”.
In order not to waste money, they feel the need to think of a meaningful answer, but that’s not easy.
That’s why “How are you?” becomes a difficult question in this app.
Instead of “How are you?”, think of a question that is more meaningful, and easy for the viewers to answer.
Such as “Wanna video chat now/tonight?” “Saw my photo/video?” “Talk face to face?”
And make it the last message you sent him, so that the question will appear on his chat list.
