Some of you should have noticed that on Saturday (Japanese Standard Time), the app was acting weird.

Sometimes it was very slow. Then the server was down. It was fixed after but then some pages couldn’t be viewed.

It was due to this:

On Jan 3 night, we increased our advertising budget.

Therefore, you can see that the number of new viewers increased drastically on Jan 3&4.

By 350%!!!

Unfortunately, our server was not strong enough to withstand so many users online at the same time (more than 15000!!!), so it went very slow, and eventually the server went down.

We then restarted the server, lowered the advertising budget and made some changes in the coding of the server.
